The Town of Georgina came together as a Township back in 1970 and incorporated into a Town by 1986. The merger of the Village of Sutton got Georgina on the map officially (North Gwillimbury used to be part of Georgina, but broke off and separated to become its own Township). Communities within Georgina are Sutton, Belhaven, Keswick, Jackson’s Point, Willow Beach, Pefferlaw, Udora, Port Bolster, Brownhill, Virginia, Baldwin, Brighton Beach and part of Ravenshoe.
