If you're in the market for a rural setting with absolutely stunning views of a large and beautiful lake (or at least, extreme closeness to those views), coupled with the ability to enjoy the beaches along said lake and sample the watersports on the lake itself? If all of this fits your bill, you're looking for one of the Georgina detached homes for sale. Among the wonderful watersports and beaches you can visit, you also have access to plenty of lovely parks (many of which are lakeside AND have walking/cycling trails for you to use), as well as the amenities of the smaller towns of Sutton and Keswick. Sutton contains a grocery store, a pharmacy, a couple of schools, a big box store, a gas station, and a couple of restaurants, while Keswick has a great deal of shops and restaurants/bistros/fast food places along the roadways by the docks. One could easily say Keswick is the heart of Georgina, where most residents would go to do the majority of their shopping. However, while Keswick and Sutton do have their fair share of amenities, the majority of these amenities are eclipsed if you decide to use the Highway 404 near Ravenshoe (which is near Keswick) to travel south into Newmarket, Markham, or Toronto.
One of the innate benefits to owning one of the Georgina detached homes for sale is that, regardless of which one you chose, they are almost all located within easy access of a major roadway or a highway, which means that getting around Georgina won't be a difficulty at all. Detached homes are excellent to own, as they encompass a broad range of types, from bungalows and ranchers to mobile homes, sidesplits, backsplits, multi-story, single-story, and even cottages. Better yet, they also accommodate a broad range of people, from multi-member families to bachelors/bachelorettes, couples, business entrepreneurs, and even single families. Living in a detached home in Georgina not only provides you with plenty of comforts one would come to expect of a detached home (regardless if it's a mobile home or an expensive cottage) while at the same time providing the best sort of accessibility to amenities near and far (far encompassing Newmarket and Markham particularly).
The cities of Newmarket, Markham, and Toronto all sit to the south of Georgina, and can all be readily accessed via Georgina's primary north-to-south roadways: Woodbine Avenue, Warden Avenue, and Kennedy Road. The Highway 404 and Highway 48 also act as arterial roads that can lead you directly into the big cities (though the Highway 48 brings you more into western Scarborough/eastern Markham than Toronto). The Highway 404 turns into the Don Valley Parkway upon reaching the city limits of Toronto, and upon reaching the shores of Lake Ontario, curves westward and becomes the Gardiner Expressway that services the whole of downtown (specifically lakeside) Toronto. So as you can see, investing in any one of the Georgina detached homes for sale is a huge benefit; you have amenities both in and out of the region, you have watersports and beaches at Lake Simcoe, you have parks galore, you have golf clubs in Markham and Newmarket (with a couple closer to Georgina than that even), and you have accessibility to the capital city of Ontario and the immense plethora of shopping and sightseeing that Toronto holds for anyone on a daytrip. Lastly, at day's end, you can come back to quiet little Georgina, hang your hat in your lovely detached home, and savor the relative peace and quiet of an idyllic rural setting broken only by the beautiful lake on the horizon.
